The long night

Enter the shadows,
Enter my mind,
Darkness embraces me,
Burying the light.
Bark little doggy,
I am ready to bite,
Yap little fool,
Get ready to fight.
In the distance sounds the chime of a bell,
A thought of salvation lost in the wind,
The distant seas beckon and then move away,
I am haunted by demons into the long night.
The Child's voice lost in the bitter cold ground,
A flash of steel beckons me on now,
The fires of hate warm the temple of my heart,
Blood for ink dries now on these final words.
