July Blogging Challenge Day 31

Reflect on your month and your emotions during it. I'm very tired today. This is a bother, but it's the last Prompt. It was a shitty month mostly. A lot of pain, and a lot of depression. I had only one really good day in it. Today was OK, but not great. Emotions where all over the place.

John, The Book of Revelation, and Mushrooms

Image
Where the book of Revelation of written has a lot to do with it's context it may seem. Definitely the reason why John was on this island had an influence in his vision of the future. It also echoes other parts of the bible. I'm here today to talk about the mushrooms on said island and the idea of spirituality and the magic mushroom. "John wrote the Book of Revelation while he was on the island of Patmos, an Aegean island where he was exiled due to anti-Christian persecution under the Roman emperor Domitian. This location is widely accepted among biblical historians and is significant in the context of the text." - Bible Probe Here is a blog post from the actual people who take care of this island and the fact that John may have eaten magic mushrooms. Now for the sake of this blog, I'm going to assume that he consumed the mushrooms. I'm also going to look at my own belief in the Christian Bible in a light that some Christians won't find in good taste at al...

Justify why you do or don't eat meat. Well I want to say bad things when I see a prompt like that one up there. This is divisive and argumentative at best. Not like the other prompts for the last 2 months. This one sucks. The bible - 1 Timothy 4:4 says I can - so I do. Wait, that sounds like I should be wearing a red hat or something. But to be honest, if I did NOT believe in the bible and many things that I learned in it, I probably would not eat meat at all. Yes I realize how that sounds to a person who thinks animals are the same as humans ethically speaking. I also have issue with how the animals are often killed - it hurts my soul to think of it. I have on the other hand cut back my consumption of meat to almost nothing, but NOT nothing. I rarely eat it as it is really not great for my health personally. Red meat in particular gives me a heck of a lot of problems if I eat it. I have read and heard many people talking about how when we age our bodies are less tolerant to meat. ...

How do animals kept in zoos make you feel? It makes me feel sad as hell. I hate the thought of animals in cages like that. Things like lions and tigers and stuff  deserve to have a hell of  a lot more room to move around. But this is not a perfect world, and there are animals that now only exist in zoos. Thanks to humanity being so destructive, greedy, and kill crazy, these animals would be gone from the earth it they where not still alive in zoos. I have to admit that life is a lot more easy for an animal in a zoo. They don't have to hunt for food or compete with more health animals. They also don't have to worry about something hunting them or generally trying to do them in. Still my brain wants them to be free and in nature like was intended by the creator. I'll never set foot in a zoo again in my life. It's been since the 1970's since I have and I never will again. I find it heart breaking. Even as a child it made me sad to see them in cages. We have made the ca...

Is your favorite attribute about yourself physical or non-physical? Non-physical. I am rather fond of my ability to think better than average. I hate to say it, but I think the average person these days has no idea how to correctly process and discern information. They just believe what ever is told them for the most part. As for problem solving, forget it for most people under 40 these days it seems. Yes some young folk are totally on the ball and can think properly, but most, not so much. It also seems that a lot of people in my generation have just stopped thinking and just go with whatever is fed them from the sources they prefer - be it complete bull shit and obviously fake as hell, or not. Thought is not important to the average person anymore. They rely on being told everything.

Making Fancy AI Thumbnails For No Valid Reason

Image
I generated the background images for the four sets of thumbnails with Deep Dream Generator . I don't even know if I'm going to use them, but I wanted them anyway - so I made 'em. The ANNOYING thing about DDG is that at times it stamps a bloody signature on it that is randomly generated. It will even put two or three of the fecking things on an image in rare instances. So it eat a tone of my points to get them all free of fake ass signatures. The top right one (part of a set of 7 - one for each day of the week) had a literally 90% rate of it putting the signatures on it and I got no idea why. The more complicated the image, the more likely it is it seems to me. The bottom right had not one on it and I got lucky with them and got all seven of them in a row without wasting points. All I can say is, I'm glad I'm not bloody paying them for the premium engines and more points. Like it's worth a minimum of $20 USD a month to have it fuck up my images like this. That b...

Do you easily accept compliments? Or do you hate compliments? I was going to say, "Who would not like to be complimented?" Then I remembered a guy I used to hang with a while back, and he hated it. He always thought there was something hidden in it that was supposed to hurt him. He could not see it as sincere. As for me, I enjoy them, but I'm shy about it. I'll try to play it down most of the time. That is, unless I know the person well. Or, if online, I may just reply with a smilie or a thumbs up emoji. I really don't much know what to do with it if it's not a friend. But I'll take it happily. There are of course times that fellow I used to run with it correct, they have a negative motive for it and it's meant in a very pointed way. The thing is, in text form, it's almost impossible to know that at all. Time was when a false compliment was extremely uncommon and considered extremely bad taste. These days, people seem to have almost no tact at all ...

If you could become with one fictional character (book, show, or movie) who would it be? Lestat de Lioncourt from Interview with the Vampire for sure. But with a better outcome in his existence. I know he can be a complete twat at times, but I don't think there is a more cool character that will come to mind any time soon. A close second would be Doctor Who as played by Matt Smith (11th Doctor). He had style in spades, with a hint of being pansexual, but not a certainty of it. The energy of this incarnation was I think the best of all of them. But I'd still rather be Lestat.

It's Been a Hell of a Week

Image
OK, it's been a hell of a two weeks actually. I've had several appointments to go to for medical reasons this last two weeks. This had me in busy waiting rooms with a lot of people I don't know at all. This makes me very uncomfortable and in some case on the edge of a full on panic attack. This last one was just that, on the edge of panic the entire time. They wanted me in a half hour early, then made me sit there longer than if I was to come at the original time. I was there about 40 minutes. There where young kids, and for some reason they trigger the anxiety stronger than adults. I've got no idea why, but it's the way it is. The only comfort I had, was no one sat right beside me, and there was an empty space between me and this little girl. I have to say, she was in a great mood for someone who was about to see a pediatrician. I remember being a kid, and hating going to the doctor. But in my day, they where all kind of rough with kids and not one of them had a fr...

Swinging Free - The Nudist in Me (No Nudity in the Blog Post)

Image
I've been a nudist all my life (for the most part). It started when I was very young and I don't remember a time before it when I was dressed in pajamas at night - but there are photos of me like that. My Dad, my Brother and I used to be nude in the home after 9pm and thought nothing of it. We would watch TV together and just generally be fee from the restraints of clothing. This gave me a good sense of self that for most of my life has stayed with me. I've rarely been ashamed of my body, and I've rarely cared what others think of it. There was a short time in my early teens where I had issues with this, but that seems to be normal, even for nudists. In my late teens I started visiting nudist friendly locations within a day trip distance from me (there are not many). In my 20's I went to a lot of nudist camps and a couple of resorts (both in the USA - don't recall the names as it's been many years). There have also been many trips to nudist beaches in my day...

Nosh & Co. Extraordinary JalapeƱo Chips A Quick Review

Image
You can get these here in Canada at Rexall. They are currently at $1.79 a bag. In the last year, the price has gone up about $0.80. However, it's a great deal for the quality of chips you get from them. The taste is of JalapeƱo and a hint of cheddar cheese and a very slight hint of lime. The most predominant taste of course is JalapeƱo. They are a thick crinkle cut chip and good for dipping. I think if you had a mango salsa with these, it would be awesome. They are extremely salty as are almost all chips. In fact there is a Health Canada warning on it for sodium. So it's going to make you thirsty. But on a side note with that - on a hot day when you been sweating a lot, it's actually good to consume sodium - yes, it's had for the heart and all, but you need it, and when very low on it, you get muscle cramps. The heat from these is not a natural heat to me. It has that chemical burn to it that you get with fake spiciness. It's also kind of hotter than it should be fo...

Awesome AI Prompts 1

All of the thumbnails below where generated on Bing Image Generator . A beautiful female ninja in a dark, misty forest at night. She has long black hair tied into a high ponytail, wearing a sleek black tactical ninja outfit with subtle red accents. Her eyes are sharp and focused, holding a katana in one hand with the blade glowing faintly from moonlight. Her pose is graceful but powerful, as if ready to strike. The scene is backlit with fog and soft light from paper lanterns in the distance. Her expression is calm, determined, and mysterious. A tall figure draped in robes made of autumn leaves that fall and regenerate continuously. Face partially obscured by a hood, showing only a strong jawline and lips that hint at both beauty and death. Carries a scythe with a handle made of intertwined branches and a blade that seems to be forged from crystallized frost. Crown of thorns and autumn berries. A futuristic old man traveler wearing a stylish suit and AI-integrated modest wear stands con...

As a child, what did you want to be when you grew up? I wanted to be many things when I was a child, and not once did I want to be a good or a grounds keeper or a house painter - or any of the jobs I actually ended up doing as an adult. I wanted to be a cop like my Dad of course. I wanted to be a fire fighter. I wanted to be a truck driver. I wanted to be a race car driver. I wanted to be a fighter piolet. There where many others as well, but you get the point. When I saw some job I though was cool on TV, I wanted to be that. The only job not from TV was a cop. Dad was a cop and I wanted to be like him. I realized as a teen that being a cop would suck because of the people you had to deal with, so I did not try for that one.

What is your favorite quality about your best friend? She had the exact same personality that I have. We where the same person with different bodies. I would have to say I liked her personality the best. In particular her sense of humor.

What do you wish you had done differently? 1. I wish I had never joined a youth group that ended up with me being molested by my youth pastor. It's amazing how often you hear about child abuse of child porn and it's a bloody pastor or some kind of person who works with kids. Almost always a person who calls themselves a Christian in our country. 2. Went to Africa to work when I had the opportunity. I think it would have looked great on a resume and the experience would most likely have make me a much bolder person when dealing with the world. 3. Never worked for a commission selling stuff. I tried this twice, and both times ended up loosing money on the bloody job. I was worse off after both times, and it wasted a lot of my time trying to be a sales person when I don't have the personality to do that. You have to be rather exploitive to do it I think, and make money. 4. Become a cook a lot more early in my life, and not wasted a pile of money on education (student loans) fo...

Who are/where you closest to in your family? Why? Like most people I know, that would be my Mother. She was always there to comfort me when I needed it. She spent a lot more time with me than my Father did. My Brother was kind of a jerk when we where living in the same house, and he never really grew into a good person in his life. I think there is an inherent bond between a Mother and her children that is just not there for a Father most of the time. I think this has been happening for as long as humans existed. It was not in favor of society to say this until my lifetime I think, however. There has been a lot written in the ages about the bond between people and their Mother. Some of those things dark as hell, but most of them speak of a special bond that will never happen with anyone else in your life. The bond with your Mother can't be repeated with any life partner you will have. Unfortunately, for some the Mother figure is a seriously bad thing in their lives, but for most of...
