Do I enjoy coffee? Well yes I do and rather a lot. To me the act of making coffee in my Moka Pot and then consuming it while it is still hot - hot to the point it needs to be slurped, is a great pleasure and a great joy. It enriches my life to say the least. It is almost to the point of being spiritual to me. It's not just a wakeup in the morning, it's a start to my day with a nice warm hug from a mug of coffee. I got into coffee as a teen when friends and I would go to a truck stop and have coffee. It became part of my social life for many years. I have to say I did not drink it at home for a very long time. Then all the sudden in my late 30's, I desired to have it in my home. I got a drip maker and since then I've had many coffee makers including a fancy pod machine given to me by a great friend. But not one of them came close to the joy that is the Moka Pot to me. I have to say, I've cut back on my coffee intake and most days, I only have the one mug of coffee ou...

Where is one place you feel most like yourself? Right here in my home where I am typing this at this very moment. I can relax, be nude, be as calm as is possible for me given that I have a shit tone of anxiety. I don't have to be defensive like I am when I'm around strangers. I can just be  who I was meant to be.

What's one thing that's happened to you in your life that made you feel weak? The day I realized I could no longer work due to physicals disability and the fact that my mental illness would not let me handle the pressure of a workplace. This made me feel terrible and I felt like I'd lost my identity at the time. I felt so very helpless and I was very depressed for quite some time after this.

What do I want to take from today into tomorrow? I'd have to say this bloody good mood I'm in. It's awesome, and I hope it lasts a few more days. It's a joy to be in a great mood. It's very much helping with the terrible pain I'm in right now.

What's one thing that's happened to you that has made you a stronger person? My mother getting sick with Cancer and having to take care of her for about 9 months before she had to go in a home. I had to be strong for her, there was no choice at all in my mind. It was physically and mentally demanding. I would not be able to do it now, my body is in too bad a shape, and I could not handle the load I was putting on it back them. But for almost 2 years I stuck with her and for more than a year I walked every day to the care home to see her, even if it was raining of snowing - I just went. It left me with a hell of a lot more personal resolve I have to say. I am a stronger person in my own life now. I don't really have a choice however - I can't just get others to help me - it's not possible - so I need to handle it myself. Dealing with Mom like that helped build the strength I need now in life.

Write one thing that made me feel loved today. These shortbread cookies by Walker's. A friend sent them to me as a gift off of my Amazon Wishlist and I feel very loved by this. She is one of the nicest people I've ever encountered. She goes far out of her way to help other people. Right now she is very loaded down with helping family and it's a big deal in her life. But she took the time to show me some love and I appreciate it deeply. She is one of the people I love like family that I've never met face to face. I'd love to have a coffee with her some day - but It's 99% of a chance I will never be able to do that. She is a blessing to all who knows her and one in many millions.

Have I done anything to make someone else happy today? I go out of my way to do this every day. I am sure it gives the opposite result for some people who are bitter and filled with self hate and loathing, but for the most part - I think what I put out into the world is at least a bit of a smile for most people who encounter it. All of the content I share online and the messages I send tend to be aimed at improving peoples day to some extent. I'm a very supportive and giving person. This does sound like tooting my own horn, and it probably is - but it's the truth. I care and I want to improve the day of others when they see what I put out there. Let me end with, "I love you and I think you are worthy."

Five Things that make you feel good about yourself? My friends make me feel good about myself all the time, they are supportive and loving. A sense of self confidence and love for who I am and what I am that was instilled upon my by my parents definitely helps. The fact that I go out of my way to try and make peoples day a slight bit more bright I think helps me feel good as well. A sense of self accomplishment I get from creating content to be consumed by others. My sense of spirituality helps a lot as well. I deeply believe I'm on the correct path to having a place in heaven and I am blessed with the knowledge, no matter how much life sucks, there is a great afterlife that will last forever waiting for me. Being there is no possibility of being talked out of this line of thinking - It's a great gift to me.

The brand is normally quite good and I usually enjoy them a lot. This one in particular is not much at all like ice cream though. I can't taste even a hint of ice cream in them. But the mint is very strong and the chocolate seems to take a back seat to it. I would like that to be the other way around. They are also kind of nice dipped in coffee. I did enjoy them, but not as much as other cookies from Dare. I'm going to give this a 3.5 stars out of 5. They are not super expensive, so they make a nice treat for people who like strong mint taste.

This was sent to my be a good friend. I've had several of their flavors in the past, and this is one of the best. It has kind of a caramel note to it as well, so it's not a classic version of Irish Coffee to me. The coffee taste is a bit secondary to the flavor that is added to it as normal for flavored coffee. There is also a hint of a cream taste in the back end of it. The after taste is slightly like a burnt hazel nut taste and that's not expected. I think it comes from using the same production line for multiple flavors and cross contamination from that. So I am sure that if I had a different bag, it would not be exactly the same. On previous flavors that I've had multiples of, it play out like that - they are slightly different. At this exact moment, it's $13.99 a bag for 340g of coffee, so it's a bit on the expensive side to say the least. But as a treat now and then, like for the holidays, it may well be worth it.
