Me On Aug 5, 2008

Well here I am on Aug 5, 2008. I'm close to 500lbs, but I don't have wrinkles and my hair is black, and nor grey. I was living in a building that was at the time not bad to live in. It was inexpensive, and they kept it up. It was rather hot in the winter however and in the summer, even worse.

Next door to us was one of the worst buildings in the city for crime. A lot of drug dealers there at the time. I remember the cops raiding the place one day and they literally had a bus that they where using to haul out all the people they arrested. No shock, the local news paper at the time said not one word about it.

In my building where several people I really liked, including a guy I'd known for decades (since I was 9 and at the time I was in my 30s. He was not the brightest bulb in the box, but he was fun to watch movies with and he has this thing where he could recite anything Shakespeare ever published.

Also on my floor was a very old lady who was not the nicest person, but she kept it to her self at least. She had a look of disapproval on her face all the time. There was also a nice older lady who did sewing for people and was always up for a good conversation. Then there was a mentally disabled lady who had a worker come in twice a week to make sure she was doing fine - to be honest, she was very capable if you ask me, and so friendly. Then across the hall was a young girl who was a nice person at heart, but got messed up with a guy who was into some very bad stuff.

There was only one person in the building while I was there that made any real problems and that was a loud stereo. He did not last long.

The place was a block away from a supermarket and a gas station. It was not a bad place for most of the time I was there.

Then a corporation took over, and they let it go to hell. Criminal teens moved in and it went to shit. They also tripled the rent and most of us moved out. To this day it's mostly empty and I can't imagine how it's making money. The place is not nearly worth the price at all.

But I had a lot of good times in that building. Now I keep to myself most of the time. I'd really rather just be by myself and watch streaming.
