Answering 5 Good Questions

1. What do you think humanity's humanity will be like in the future?
It seems that the age of social media has made people lose empathy on average. Younger people have shown to have less empathy toward others these days. Their children will have almost none of it it is predicted. With a lack of empathy we get situations where people don’t want the government to take care of the sick and the poor, and we end up with a tone of people dropping dead in the streets after losing their homes, and no one cares to feed them or give them something warm to put on in the winter. Arias where empathy is commonly low (poverty stricken communities) tend to have high amounts of violence and crime. The lack of empathy tends to make people want to salve disputes with violence. The state of humanity in 100 years, will be a dismal one I am sure. If we don’t fix the situation, things will be like Judge Dread in 100 years.

2. “You must comply” and various threats from voices between waking and sleeping. What to do? Is this God or one of his servants talking?
Nope, it’s your brain malfunctioning. When you are not quite awake you can see and hear things at times if it takes long enough to wake up fully. People have seen demons, aliens, dead family members. They have also heard their names or people telling them what to do like in your case. A common school of thought would think you might in the back of your mind think you need to do what you are being ordered to do. I’m personally not sure of this, as the things people hear are often not good for them or people around them. Just ignore the voices. If they come in a waking state, I’d recommend seeing a mental health provider about it, as this is very much a problem that needs to be solved.

3. What was your most "Karen-like" moment?
It was the 1990’s and a woman hit my car from behind while I was waiting to turn into a side street. I got out and there was no damage to my car and some to hers (minor). She said “don’t be mad”, and it flipped my switch to Karen mode. I yelled at her and she started to cry. I immediately realized I was being a dick and my actions where not necessary and apologized.

4. Is it bad for my mate to sleep 18 hours a day on his days off?
It’s not normal, but it is known to happen with some people. If they need the sleep to regenerate their energy level, it’s needed by them. But there are problems with sleeping more than 9 hours. It can cause medical conditions like inflammation or muscle damage to worsen. I’m older, and when I sleep the arthritis I have gets worse, if I slept all day like that, I might actually not be able to walk after. I read once it’s not good for the immune system as well. IT can worsen diabetes, heart disease, give you headaches, cause obesity. It’s just generally not good for a person.

5. What is the most breathtaking natural place you've ever visited, and what made it unforgettable?
The grand canyon. The vastness of it is breathtaking. There is a deep beauty to it even though there is next to no variation. The sweeping rock formations, and the subdued color variations seem to just spark me as deeply beautiful. Even the river in it all that way down from where we where, was astonishing to me.
