I Miss The Sunny Days

Image
It's amazing that we had sun and blue sky for 3 days in a row. It seems that the norm for Moose Jaw is to have clouds the majority  of the time. So I enjoyed the hell out of the sun for 3 days. It was too cold to go out and be in it, but it was nice to see out my window. Jan 30, 2023 Jan 31, 2023 My Pusheen Stuffed Toy, because it's my favorite thing on the planet. It's so manly to have a stuffed toy you play with at 56 years of age BTW.

My Foot Is Coming Apart

Image
I think I need this looked at. My health plan covers foot care. Maybe I can get this stuff removed from my feet. As you see, it's cracked deep and hurts a little, not much, but does hurt. It's also all over the place. Bits of it in the bed, and on the floor. Here a piece that I found on the floor. Same chunk. About 2 mm thick.

Wi-Fi Eh

Image
Well, the Wi-Fi used to be named "RCMP Surveillance Van", but after moving out of a building with a drug dealer down the hall, I changed it to Pagan Altar, just because. Does not seem like anyone else in the entire building gave theirs a name other than literally their own name. Strangely enough, the church across the parking lot from me had open Wi-Fi with no password on it for a long time. I emailed them that this is not a great idea and justified my statement with what can happen if it's open. They never replied, but they put a password on it. My building in the lobby and basement have open Wi-Fi or sorts, you need a Shaw account to get on it. There is also a Sasktel Wi-Fi but it needs a password.

Jigsaw Puzzle List Update

Image
Been using Jigsaws Galore for many years now and have done a great deal of puzzles on it. I enjoy doing jigsaw puzzles, so it gives me a lot of pleasure. Recently I have started to keep track of the numbers and the names of the groups of puzzles I have done. Below is a list of the puzzles I am currently doing and the ones I have finished and archived. Yes, I'm for some reason keeping a zip file of all the ones I finished. It took me months, but I finally finished a folder of 1000-piece puzzles. They took on average of 5 hours each to finish and I don't think I want to ever do anything over 250-pieces again, that being said I have a folder of 500-piece puzzles to do yet.

Of Religious Extremests and Rainbows

Image
The soup has literally nothing to do with this topic, but in a way is a bit funny, as I'm going to talk about something a lot of people did NOT understand at all. Pink Floyd just posted a profile pic on their Facebook page to celebrate the 50th anniversary of "Dark Side of the Moon." It has a rainbow in the logo for 100% obvious reasons, that being the album cover has a rainbow on it. Well, the right-wing folk seem to be very upset over this. It's literally astonishing to see them going blindly on about gay pride and Woke culture. Not to mention they are using Woke wrong. Seriously, how can you not know? It's the bands top album of all time and one of the most sold albums in history. So, you have to have a massive brain malfunction to not realize what the rainbow is for. Not to mention you are literally waving a red flag that says you're a hate filled bigot. The response to these oh so upset people where epic to say the least and gave a lot of people serious e

Screen Time

Image
See, I use Chrome for a site I like to go to several times a day, and there is a lot of activity. There is also no app for the site, so here I am sucking battery life with Chrome instead. Facebook is a wow - I did not think I hit it this much, but evidently, it's a big part of my life LOL. YouTube should be more, but I watch a lot of stuff on my TV now. You can tell the day I'm not home for the entire afternoon, I think.

MILO in My Coffee

Image
Get your coffee ready to go of course. Add a teaspoon of this nice stuff to a mug. Not too much now. Put the coffee in and mix it up. Have to say it does give a slight bit more energy in the morning that just the coffee alone. A friend sent it from the land down under.

3 Spicy Things I Use in My Food

Image
This is hotter than normal sauce, but It's not special that way. It does taste very good, however. IT's 35,000 SCU. I did a taste test, and it went wrong because I ended up choking on it. Was not super-hot but does have a bit of burn. This is yummy as heck. It gives a great taste to anything I put it in. A friend got it for me as well as the Shit the Bed sauce. Again, it's not super-hot but has some burn to it. It's mostly a nice roasted flavor. It's super high in salt, however. Well, most people have had this, or one of the 100 brands like it. It's the most common "hot sauce" on the planet and is sold in most countries. This one is slightly sweet and gives a nice change to soup or even pizza.

3 Blogs in One Post

(1) Finally, a nice sunny day out. It was weeks before I saw the sun again, and I very much missed it. I really do enjoy seeing sunlight and having it on my face. I'll have to pop outside to get some sun on me. (2) So here I am at coffee before the others get there. They don't generally let people sit in this aria, but my friend has special needs, so they allow it. Normally it's used for overflow when the front is full, or a large group comes in. There are generally 4 of us in our group. It's really my only time with other people in the week most of the time, so I enjoy it a lot. (3) and finally, the power off indicator on my new Hisense TV is like 3/4 of an inch off center and it's bugging me that did not put it in the center. There is probably no valid reason for it to not be as well. I have to wonder how many other people look at it and think way the hell is it not in the middle? I've had lots of them off in the lover right corner, but this is a first for me.

Let's Delete 50+ Videos

Image
So, I worked for days doing a tone of tag videos from my tag channel then realized I'd sone a years' worth with the same questions I did for this year's tags. So, I had to delete them all and start over. I'm halfway done but since these are over a year away before the go live, It's all good, no rush. I love tag videos (question and answer), but most people don't seem to want to watch them, so I ended up, years ago, putting them on a different channel than my Vlogs. Honestly there are not many people who still do them. When YouTube was young a large number of people would do the tags, now there is only 3 or 4 of us most of the time. But I enjoy them, so I do them.

Scented Stuff Is Going to Kill Me I Tell Ya

Image
It's -8c outside and I have my window open a bit, so I don't die. Sigh. Sounds dramatic and all, but I have severe sensitivities to scented products. Right now, someone is burning incense and It's really getting to me, and I am having issues catching my breath now. It's not the first time it's happened in our "scent free building", but this time it's really getting to me. In a previous place the woman across the hall got kind of messed up on drugs and sprayed an entire can of air freshener in her apartment and in the hallway. I ended up having to go to the ER that time, as my breathing was so bad from it. A friend went into my place and opened my windows and pointed my fan at the bedroom window to clear it out. Good thing it did not rain that day, as I was gone all night and the windows left open. The worst thing about having this problem in your life is people not believing it's real, even though 32% of people have some kind of sensitivity to scen

Stop Bing from Opening New Tab Every Time

Image
Make Big stop the hyper annoying open in new tab nonsense. Search something for Bing to come up. Click the 3 lines in the top right. Click settings. Under "Results" unclick both options. Click "Save" I have no idea on earth why when they changed this shit, they decided to make it happen for literally everyone. I 100% never want this to happen, and I don't seem to be alone with it.

Giving Away Stuffed Toys

Image
I've posted my family of stuffed toys in the past. Well, I just got a bit tired of them being all over the place and put all but this one (my first and favorite Pusheen) in the storage room. I think I'm going to give away the one big one, as I have no use for it really - it's not a Pusheen after all. There is also several in a container I think I'll be putting out for people to take, as I don't have any attachment to them at all, even though they used to be my Moms. Why have them just sitting in storage when people could be enjoying them. The Pusheens I'll be keeping until I drop dead, however. This one here is my emotional support stuffy. When I'm in a lot of pain, or depressed I tend to hold her and listen to music. It does seem to help for some reason. I also pretend to feed and water her every morning. Yeah, I know sounds very mature, but it's keeping me happy. Anyway, when I do the laundry, I'll also put out the stuffies that I no longer want.

Laundry Soap in My Kitchen Sink - Not Good at All

Image
This keeps happening. I get a backup in my sink, and it is laundry soap that comes up. Well, being this is TOXIC, it's kind of a big deal, yet after complaining several times not one thing has been done to stop it. It is most likely someone above me in the building washing things by hand in their sink and using a lot more soap than needed. I am getting seriously tired of having to scrub down my sink two or three times a week, because some random person is not doing things the way they should. There is a big sink in the laundry room for just this task, yet they do it in the same place they wash their dishes. Sigh. You just can't fix some things, like the lack of presence of mind it takes to do this. I used to know a guy who did his washing in the bathtub to save the $3 it took to do a load of laundry in that building. However, here it's as of this post, included in the rent, in a couple of months, they will be tacking on a $10 fee for the laundry, if you use it or not. That

Wine for Breakfast

Image
Was given a bottle of wine. Some people will know why the name of the wine company is in sync with my life LOL. In any event, I enjoyed a bag of chips with it and a back of cheese twists. The breakfast of champions I tell you.

Update on Life

Image
The day started out with me forgetting to put coffee in the maker, so I made a pot of hot water instead. The maker I use is a Moka pot and it gets super-hot, so I had to let it cool down before I could make coffee. I had not much sleep last night, the body and knee pain were keeping me from sleeping well. Then at 3am someone used the garbage shoot at the end of the hall. There is literally only one person up on my floor at that time, so I'm certain it was him - Not like I'm going to jump up and try to get pants on in time to see if it was or not. But the door to the garbage shoot closes heavy and makes a heck of a thump - well actually two thumps, and that woke me. You can see a photo of Pusheen my ever-present buddy near the bed. To be honest I never thought I'd be so attacked to a stuffed toy, but she is a great comfort to me when I'm in pain or just down in my mood. If you have no idea Pusheen is a very popular cartoon cat with a great deal of merchandise, you can bu

Wolf Moon - Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan - Jan 2023

Image
There was a bit of haze in the sky when I took the photo, but it was going to be cloudy as check later on, so I took the shot. The Wolf Moon is the first full moon of the year. Obviously, I'm a day late, but it's almost always cloudy where I live, so I take what I can get.

Jigsaw Puzzle List Update

Image
Been using Jigsaws galore for many years now. I have made a massive number of puzzles to put together with it over the years, but most I have not archived. In the last few years, I've been keeping track of them both finished and not done yet. Below is my current list.

2022 A Look Back

Image
What can I say, this was a horrible year for almost everyone I know. I was sick and in pain for a lot of the year. I had several big hits to the bank account that left me in the hole all year long and I'm still trying to get out of that hole. I lost several friends and more acquaintances. I fell and messed myself up rather bad, and worse off, lost some of the feeling of safety in my home because of it. There where good times of course, but nothing stands out as great. The only big saving grace was the Saskatchewan government handing out $500 in November then in December, I got another $500 from the Feds. If it was not for that, to be honest, I don't know if I could have afforded food for January - I for sure would have been scraping by for many months to come. For a lot of people, not just myself, it was quite possibly the worst year of our lives. I have the ability to pay off the rest of my debts in 2 months, but I'm not certain I want to be left with next to no fun the en
