That's a Lot of Music

Image
So my stats from YouTube music for the spring where: Rock 45% - Heavy Metal 18% - Electronic Dance 8% - Pop 6% - Independent 5% 523.6 hours listening (more than usual - 5.88 H/day). Most listened to song was Juke-Joint Jezebel by KMFDM I'm getting my money out of this to be able to listen ad free that much (I have Premium).

Turn Off OneDrive On This Day on Your PC

Image
Right click the OneDrive icon in the tray. Click settings. Click notifications. toggle off "on this day". If you don't want notifications that a large number of files have been deleted, toggle it off as well. I often delete a tone of files that are no longer to be used, and it's annoying to have it come up. I still have it on for email notifications, so if something strange happens I still know. No need to have my app on the phone, and my PC tell me as well.

Yet Another OneDrive Bug

Image
This happens if you are uploading just one file, or a batch of files. It will stall on the first (or only) file and never finish uploading. You have to kill the individual upload, let the others upload then re-upload the first file. It used to be a rare occurrence, but it seems to happen kind of often in the Android app these day, as in almost always. I've also had uploads in a batch fail and keep failing until I kill the upload of that file - then if I upload just that file, it works fine. The price is right and I get the Office apps on my PC to use offline, so I don't really want to switch services. If I was too switch I'd switch to Google One I think. Also  I'd like to be able to have 2TB of storage for $2 or $3 more, but they want a small fortune for the second TB of storage on OneDrive. Google One has 2TB of storage and a bunch of other stuff I'd never use. Both are relatively slow on the uploads and downloads. I have extremely fast internet and it still takes

I'd Rather Die Than Rot Away

Image
Next month it will be 11 years since my Mother died of cancer. It took a bit over 2 years to kill her and it was a horrific progression. She was a shadow of the person she used to be physically in the end. She also was blind, deaf, and unable to speak for the last two weeks. When she no longer knew who I was it tore the heart out of me. A short time before that I signed papers to terminate medical intervention and just let her go a bit more quickly, it was a kindness I think. I can't even imagine being locked in the silence of total darkness for two weeks, just waiting for death. When she passed it was a relief as her suffering was finally over. The only blessing is she did not seem to be in a lot of pain. Seeing how life is in a care home, and how little freedom of choice you have in there, I'd honestly rather be dead than in one. If I have the choice in the end, I WILL be dead rather than in a home. The doctor ever tells me I have dementia or stage 4 cancer, I'm just goin

Bing's AI VS Deep Dream Generator

Kind of freaked out on the babies lips however. DDG seems to make errors at times. Also no stroller. Seriously, anyone offended by this has to be rather easy to upset. The kind that stops drinking a beer over a single vanity can. Honest to the Goddess, I should have told it a 400lb man in a speedo, just because. Bing tends to be a heck of a lot more realistic looking, but stamps a Bing logo in the corner of every image. It also only does 1024x1024 images, no other size or aspect ratio. DDG gives you a choice of sizes and shape of the image. However I'm not sure is DDG still gives you a free account able to make images, I got mine free and am allowed making images but it's limited size and I get very few points, so the number of images is limited a lot. If you pay you can go up to 5mp images and at the top end you can crank out a lot of high quality larger images in a day. Bing does not have any of these options, but it is totally free to use and you can get unlimited images out

4:20 am AKA I Love My Lock Screen

Image
Got to bed early yesterday and slept most of the night, only getting up a couple of times to go drain a little. When I woke up I checked my phone and it was 4:20 am so I screenshot it. Yes, I literally have affirmations on my lock screen. And well, I just love Pusheen the Cat. I did end up going back to sleep however as I just did not feel like doing anything at this time of the morning and woke up again at around 8 am.

5 Personal Tech Updates in One

Got the backups on my portable drive done. Everything sorted and in it's place. The only thing left to toss on there will be the puzzle backups. I zip them and if something happens, I will only loose a few of the ones I played this way, and can just toss them on again later. It's just so much more enjoyable to not have clothing on if you ask me. Listening to music while making jigsaw puzzles is a joy. I've got a lot of unplayed puzzles right now and still want to make some more of them. I ripped some movies off of DVD's I own and I am going to watch them. They are all B-Rate monster movies and some of them don't play well in modern times as they are to say the least kind of racist - but they are from the 1930's so I can't expect much. My Blu-ray player Needs a cleaning and I'm out of fluid to put on the cleaning disk. It skips and stalls - It's not very old, so I am sure it's just dirty - it's seriously dusty in here. I am also not going to w

Soup and a Future Cleaner

Image
A friend came to the rescue when I was not able to stand at the stove for 30 minutes cooking. He brought over shredded carrots (pickled), sweet peppers, a slice of pizza and some pickled eggs. I chopped up some of the peppers while sitting in my chair by the TV, then tossed them in with some of the carrots (brine included) and a can of stewed tomatoes (tomatoes, onion, celery, and juice) then added some water and let it simmer for 30 minutes while I watched a show. It made a very tasty soup but it seems to have upset my body (it's not hard to do that), and I got the poops out of it kind of bad. I'm very grateful to have friends who can come to my aid when needed. None of my friends can do the cleaning for me however, as they are also disabled in various ways. So I'm going to have to see if I can't get someone in next month to do it, then send them the money with a transfer. It should not take more than 2 hours, even though the place is very dirty - it is small after all

Humanity is Regressing

Image
I find it amazing that 20% of people in Canada are not vaccinated for covid-19. I also find it astonishing they don't want their children to be vaccinated for literally anything. This is a reprehensible trait and indicates a big problem in out society. Honestly there has always been people who are on the fridge of reality and not wanting to conform with government programs meant to help them, but in the age of information or in this case false information, there are more of them than ever before. The same people did not want to wear a mask, stating they could not breath in them, and it was dangerous. Well if a surgical team can wear them for 8 hours in an operating room, then you can put it on for 20 minutes to go in the store. The entire thing is people being so extremely selfish they are willing to risk the health of others. Then there is the idea of choice. They think they had no choice when in reality they exercised the choice they where given, and did not like the consequences

Badges from a group I'm in. Trying out the Bing chat thing. You can ask it to make a picture of something and it will, or won't, depending on it's "rules". The number of plays caught my eye LOL.

Update on Me

Image
Despite a lot of health issues, I seem to be in a great mood the last few weeks. Not very motivated, but in a great mood. I need to cook the bean mix today for tomorrow and Sunday. Today I am just going to eat a can of tomatoes as my tummy is really upset for no valid reason. But my tummy gets upset all the time and there seems to be nothing causing it. I was told by a couple of people it might be related to my Fibromyalgia. My feet are swollen badly with water retention. I eat hotdogs a week and a half ago and they have been this way since. The pills don't seem to be doing the job. But it's not nearly as bad as Dad used to get it. He would not even be able to walk a couple of times. Thankfully for him, the pills did work well and he almost never suffered with water retention. The blood clot is not all that painful anymore, so either I'm used to it, or it is resolving it's self. I was told it can take 3 months for the body to deal with it. I'll be on blood thinners

Last sip of whiskey that's been beside my chair for 2 months. I should wash my cup, but it adds flavor. If I had gummies, I'd eat the gummies and just drift away into music for 6 to 8 hours.

What I Got From an AI Art Generator and What I Asked For

Image
A man covered in blood driving a 1957 Chevy .   An old Cadillac convertible with the top down being driven by a man in a spacesuit. When Deep Dream Generator works it's amazing fun, but now and then it just does not listen to you very well. When I signed up it allowed free accounts and I'm told it demands you pay for points now. I'm still getting it for free as is a friend, but things change I guess. I don't like it enough to give them $19US a month to play with it. I also have no desire to sell this stuff at any point. I'm making jigsaw puzzles out of them in an app on my PC, that's all I'm using it for. When I get enough of them to last me a long time, I'll probably abandon the web page. There is ethics involved as well, every last AI out there has been trained with art that was used without permission of the artist, this includes some of my stuff from DeviantArt I found out.
