Two Salads at Smitty's in Moose Jaw - Review

Image
(Chefs Salad)
Chefs salad at Smitty's on the highway here in Moose Jaw. OK this was hellish good, but it's the size of my head LOL. I am used to having the meat cut up smaller as well so I had to use a knife on it. The eggs where not pealed right. There is a trick to that a LOT of people don't know. Toss them in ice cold water and let them cool then roll them on the counter to crack them. They will then peal right off with no sticking to the egg. If it's done long enough this will work. Don't do it with soft boiled eggs you will be sorry LOL. But I digress. The salad was very tasty and fresh and yummy. But I had to take some home. Perhaps I should have looked to see if there was a "light size" in the light and seniors menu. Give this 7.5/10 - would eat again :)
(Santa Fe - Leftovers I took home and consumed later)
I had the Santa Fe salad on another day and it ROCKED. But the chicken was not cut all the way threw and once again I went looking for the kni…

All of these are apps I literally never use. They are just taking up all kinds of space on my phone. I can't disable them or heaven forbid delete their useless asses. The phone only has 16GB or memory and less than 5GB is free after installing the apps I do use and the bloated operating system with all of it's fancy transitions and animations that I can't stand. Did I forget to mention that the keyboard is oversized and I literally could not read it? Well I had to download another one to get around that. Not to mention that the menus are hard as hell to read for me now. The transition to Android 5 on the Galaxy S4 was hellish to me. I love the freedom with Android, but this is making me long for my iPhone. But the limitations of the iPhone in an unjailbroken state are way too limiting. So I will put up with the bother of this new set-up. How about you get ride of these craptacular colours on the menus and that horrible keyboard and give me back the high contrast mode th…

And the Reply

Reply to the "late t-shirt email" I sent.

Hi Dave, We had to special order in the T-shirt size you requested. As it was a single shirt order, our supplier needed to attach it in a larger order with other shirts. After that there is production time - unfortunately, our supplier runs a small business out of their home in Regina and was sick for a few days. The T-shirt was mailed on May 22 from Regina. I don't know if there was a tracking code on it, but if you don't get the shirt by the end of the week then I will look into it. Ultimately, Moose Jaw Pride uses T-shirt sales as a fundraiser. However, for this shirt we have already paid our supplier $17.50 for the shirt that is being mailed to you. We went the extra mile to make sure we could get you a shirt in your size at no extra cost. Please be patient with us as we are not a professional T-shirt company, just some folks trying to make a difference in our community. We all work volunteer to make Pride happen here. So…

Great Disappointment in Moose Jaw Pride and GLAMJ

Image
This is the 27th of May 2015 I ordered it on 30th of April 2015. Tomorrow is 4 weeks and it's still not here. As you see the money has been transferred and still NO shirt. How am I supposed to take them seriously if they can't even have the manufacturer get me the shirt in 4 weeks? I am home 90% of the time so it's not like I missed someone coming over here. Really quite disappointed and soon will be seeking to get my money back. This is not how you do business. I have ordered stuff from Australia and got it in less time that it has been already. Sigh. I was expecting to get it for pride week so I could have it on in a few VLOGS during the week. This is the first real planned pride week we have had in Moose Jaw. But I guess I can't expect people to get off their ass and get things done. My dealings with Moose Jaw Pride so far are a big let down. I won't be making the mistake in the future or recommending that anyone else do the same. I heard so many good things an…

We the Lost People.

The computer has become the outlet to social interaction for a LOT of people now. I know it's a blessing for people like myself who are home alone most of the time. But it is the referred method of interaction by a LOT of people now.
The separation though has driven us to turn friends on and off like they where a game. They say things that they would never say in real life. They do NOT see others as real even though when it happens to them it hurts them. The reaction to bullying and the level of bullying has ramped up to an extreme. They don't seem to care that real lives are effected and real people die. The world is getting worse and they we are heading toward a breakdown of law and order. IT will spill over into the world where people act like others are games to play instead of other humans. They literally delight in the death of others as if it where a victory instead of a tragedy.
Humanity needs to get back to being human or this is the end of society in a couple of generat…

My Large Pusheen is Here AKA Pusheen Makes Life Better

Image

OMG this was LOT of money to get into Canada but I so wanted it as I am a big fan of Pusheen. I mean you have no idea. It was almost $85. I was expecting to get a $6.50 tax bill on it and did not for some reason. This is a good thing :) The exchange rate and the $19 shipping hit hard. Being that the toy is $49 US it's a big investment. But you have to realize it's gigantic LOL. It's 20 inches long and 12 inches tall. It will be with me till my death. It will sit on the fridge like a kitty would do :) It will make me happy every time I look at it. The smaller one has given me more joy than I can describe. I suffer from chronic illness and am in pain all of the time. Sometimes the pain is indescribable and unimaginable to someone who has not been in my situation. Just lay in bed and hold the little Pusheen makes it somehow more manageable. I know she is just a stuffie, but she makes my life …
