In the Lobby


The lobby at the building where my G.P. has his offices. The elevators are down right small and downright old. No way to get a scooter in there. They made the front of the building accessible then the elevators are still the old ones. It's a nice looking place though put up in the 1930's all brick on the outside and nice inside. The bench is from a church in town and is almost 100 years old and still in perfect shape. How many bits of furniture do we own that will last that long?

The Fifth Estate (1976 - Still Going) Documentary, News This was a show that I remember my Mom and Dad watching once a week. Later in life I watched it as well. I no longer watch it as I’m no longer interested in news. At the time in the 70’s I did not really get what it was all about, I just wanted to be with my parents while they watched it. My brother never did stay for it if I remember correctly. Hockey Night in Canada (1952 - Still Going) Sports Dad watched this all the time in the 70’s and 80’s then just kind of stopped. I now watch it on my own. I love Hockey and CFL (Canadian Football). At the time I just was there for it – was not interested in sports until I was much older. Top 20 Deli Meats (Cold Cuts) Rated

I found a list of the top 20 cold cuts in the world. That head cheese got into this list makes me wonder what so called normal people think is good food. This is of course keyed to my tastes only and may not be how you see it. For example, Dad loved Bologna above all other cold cuts, and would fry it black and make sandwiches with tomato and Kraft sandwich spread. Sometimes the bread of toasted. On a side note, literally ONLY white bread of served to us at home as young folks and so on. The idea of eating brown bread was out of the question. BTW Mom's favorite cold cut was Olive Loaf. My perfect 10 no longer exists and it was called Onion Loaf.
