Answering 5 Questions While on Scooby Snacks

1. When did a snow storm in your life make you feel like you were in a video game?
Video games did not exist to my knowledge at the time but 1978. Looking back it does seem, in memory, to be a unreal experience. The city was toast. It snowed for 3 days and there was over 5 feet of snow fall. The drifts covered some houses and they had to be rescued. The cops called every home in the city to see if they needed to be dug out. The local military was deployed to help people. The city was shut down for over a week. I did not go to school for 2 weeks. We almost ran out of food and my dad was a cop and had to be picked up on a snowmobile to get to work. There where deaths of course and travelers trapped in a motel out of town for several days - unable to get out of the rooms.

2. How are you doing today? How was your day going over there?
IT’s the 9th and I’m broke already. This month is going so suck entirely. The weather changed and my arthritis is acting up and I can hardly walk. My fibromyalgia is flaring and I am in a great deal of pain, and to top it off I have a migraine headache. It should be one of the worst days ever, but I seem to be enjoying the sunlight, as it’s normally cloudy as heck here - and I am enjoying doing some fractal art on my computer. So all in all it’s not the worst day ever, but DANG I’d sure like to be able to have a bag of chips from the store, but not enough money for even that.

3. Have you ever realized something when you were high?
To be honest in the days when I would get high A.F. on weed in my High School days, we would solve the problems of the world in the back of my friends van. We had many realization moments that at the time we thought where just so profound. The reality of it was more like out brains where wrapped and we had all this random nonsense coming out of us, but we where just too blasted to understand we where not making much sense. It would have been interesting to have been filmed during one of these sessions LOL.

4. What is your favorite sweet? Why?
I don’t have a clue what it’s called or who makes it. I get it in a bulk section of a store near me. It looks like a segment of an orange with a peal and everything. The peal is a harder type of gummy candy than the rest of it. It tastes like sugar and a Mandarin orange. The peal section tastes a lot like orange zest as well. I like them because they are linked to my childhood and better days when I felt safe, loved and had no worries to speak of. They remind me of my Mother and she is long gone now. Plus they are just so darn good.

5. Have you reduced or stopped buying from fast food?
I’ve stopped about 90% I’d say. I only get pizza a couple of times a month at most. Most of the time, just once. To be honest, the majority of fast food is terrible tasting and no longer a good deal price wise - you can have a sit down meal that is actually good food for the price of a crappy burger, some horrible fires and a drink loaded with sugar or if a diet drink, even worse for you than sugar. I literally don’t understand how people enjoy fast food these days. If the pizza place I like messes it up like the burger places all have, then I’ll not be having any fast food again.
