Aug Vlogging Challenge Day 24

Review a product you often use.

My Samsung A54 is something I use many times a day. It has enough power to do anything I want. I sure as heck don't need the Flagship S series like my friend seems to think he needs. He uses his phone even less than I do, so I don't really get why he's paying way more to pay off his S24.

The A54 has a 2.4GHZ octo core processor that does anything I want it to do. It's way more power than I need, and even when editing video, it blazes through the task.

The Almond display is wonderful and very easy to read. It's only 1080P but why the hell do you need 4K display on something so small - there is no possibility at all you can tell the difference, you're fooling yourself if you think you can. And with a refresh rate of 120HZ, I never notice the scan rate.

The 5000 mAh battery is enough for most people, but being a very heavy user, I need to change it twice a day. Unfortunately the recent upgrade to UI 7 seems to have the battery running down rather fast unless you have it in battery saver mode, and that limit's performance. There is also no wireless charging on this, you have to pay a tone more for an S series to get that.

The cameras are good enough for me, but they do struggle in low light. Strangely enough the main rear camera is a downgrade from the 64MP camera of the A53 to the 50MP camera of the A54. I honestly don't know why they did this at all. That being said, I almost never shoot in full resolution, as I'm not going to be printing anything out poster size LOL. The selfie cam does a great job of recording my vlogs in 4K at 30FPS. It would be nice to have 60FPS, but oh well. As well the S series can have bother front and rear cameras recording simultaneously, and the A series can't. But of well.

It comes with either 6GB or 8GB of ram in it. The one I have has 8GB and it's great for using multiple apps at once and flipping through them. Unlike Windows, apps for Android tend to be rather small and do the same job, so you don't have to worry about it. The exception to this of course is Facebook and it's a monster sized bloody app for no valid reason.

Downsize is some people seem to have performance issues, but I have no idea what they are doing, being I can edit a 4K video on it with no issues at all. The macro camera seems to be not the best however, the A53 had a much better one, and again it's a downgrade. I've already mentioned that all the cameras have problems with low light. Some people don't like the plastic case as well, but I literally don't care, as it's going into a protective case as soon as I get it out of the box generally. For $500USD, you would think they would put in wireless charging as well, but NOPE.

All in all I'm going to give it an 8/10.
