TIME TO CHANGE HOW I SHOP AND COOK
The tomatoes I normally got where bigger than the ones I can get in bulk now - so I will have to live with slightly less tomato's per meal it seems from now on. The other thing is other than just tomato, I'll be putting in 1 can tomatoes and 1 can tomato sauce from now on - it will be less watery this way. The canned beans are now limited to 2 per person per day - well can't do a months worth of food with 2 cans and I can't afford to go to the store literally every day of my life to get food. So now I'll be using dried beans instead. The beans I can get in bulk in cans are very expensive. To keep the price under $100 (my normal budget) I'll be doing it as you see above.
Every 2 says I'll boil 2 cups of dried beans then let them soak for an hour. Then I'll drain them and toss them in the slow cooker with a can of Tomatoes, a can of Sauce and 2 cups of veggies. I don't mix it until it's cooked (2 hours), this way the veggies don't over cook and I don't have to add them later instead.
It's not an exciting thing to eat 3 times a day every day, but when I stick to it, I lose weight and I'm getting all my body needs to be healthy. It's not like in these times I want to order in and have some dude handle my food then I handle it - a bit of a risk there.
The last thing is, I'll be shopping sooner from now on. I'll allow myself 2 weeks and a bit just in case I end up quarantined for 2 weeks or something. So I'm going to get food till the end of next month soon then 2 weeks before get next months and so on.
They are allowing 2 12 packs of double roll toilet paper right now, so I'm getting 2. This will last me a long time and I won't have to get any for months. I do actually use a lot of toilet paper as I have a bowel issue, but they last long enough that it will be months until I need more.
I'm getting pickup as I can. My aria it's not as hard to do that as a big city. I need pickup as I can't go in and shop for myself, as I'm disabled. Standing in a line for 30 minutes or more would have me on the floor, so I need pickup.
Lastly I hope no one thinks I'm infected, I have been having a dry cough for many months now and normally I get out of breath easily. So people might think the worst, but oh well.
Stay safe and keep in touch with friends and family. We need each other now, and we will for a long time to come. Hugs and Love. P.S. mind any spelling errors in my graphic - I did NOT spell check it at all.
