Answering 15 Prompts About Myself

1. What are three qualities I love about myself?

I care about other people deeply. I’m kindhearted. I’m a giving person.

2. What accomplishments am I most proud of?

Taking care of my mother when she needed me, even though it was extremely hard on my physically and emotionally.

3. What small action can I take today to feel more confident?

I don’t think it’s possible for me. I am as confident as my brain will allow me to be. I will always have doubts and worries about my actions.

4. What are my strengths, and how can I use them to achieve my goals?

My compassion can be used to help others that need a hand, even if it is just talking to them or listening to them when they need it. My creative side helps me generate art for the world to see and that is a great outlet for me.

5. What does the best version of myself look like, and what steps can I take to become them?

I think it looks like I am right now. There is no way physically or emotionally that I can improve myself, I think. I’m at my limit.

6. What do I bring to the lives of others that make me valuable and unique?

I don’t think I am unique at all, I know there are many like me in this overpopulated world of ours. But what I bring into other lives is a bit of joy and happiness and in a world like ours, this is a welcome and needed thing to happen.

7. When was a time I overcame a challenge, and what does it say about my strength?

When I took care of mom. I moved past what I thought were my physical limits and got the job done no matter what the cost to me personally.

8. What negative beliefs do I hold about myself, and how can I reframe them into positive ones?

I tend to think the world is filled with evil when I know most people are fundamentally good, and it holds me back in some ways I think. I need to just accept that the media is bullshit, and the world is not such a bad place to be.

9. What is one thing I like about my appearance? How can I embrace it more?

To be honest I love how my face looks. I have embraced it fully, I think. I’m doing a 10-year challenge when I take a selfie a day for 10 years. I think I am handsome.

10. What makes me smile and feel good about myself every day?

Sending out positivity into the world makes me feel good and it does make me smile.

11. What boundaries can I set to protect my self-esteem?

I don’t think I need any. I have not allowed others to damage how I feel about myself in decades. Their opinion of me is meaningless if it is negative. I am the one who makes me happy and the one who justifies my existence.

12. Are there any situations or people that make me doubt myself?

Nope. I’m self-actualizing. I make purpose for myself, and I validate who I am internally.

13. How can I distance myself from them?

I don’t need to, their opinions is not valid to me at all.

14. What mistakes have I learned from, and how have they helped me grow?

This is a hard one. I tend to hold onto doing bad things to myself like drinking even though I know it’s damaging me. But I learned that I can never have a romantic relationship for sure. All three times I tried it was damaging to me, and they ended up being toxic people. So, I have not tried to have a romantic relationship in decades.

15. Write down a negative thought you've had about yourself recently. What is a kinder, truer version of that thought?

I can’t think of anything for this. I don’t tend to hold negative thoughts about myself these days at all. If I do it’s fleeting and I move past it in a short time. So, I’m all good for now at least.
