Repaying to Someone Bashing "Religion"

I normally just let people freak out on religion, but I had to comment this time. I do fully understand where they are coming from however. There is a minority of Christians for example that are loud, annoying TWATS that keep going on about Gay people and Trans people being evil and how they need to do something about that. SIGH. The reality is, that the big majority of Christians either never think about Gay people or accept them. There is a growing number of churches out there that full on accept them as equals and don't try to "fix them" - but we only remember the loud annoying people yelling bullshit, and we don't remember the ones quietly saying, "come on in, you are welcome here." I literally have a friend who runs a church just for the LGBTQ+ community. They are out there and they are speaking up for unity - but we all notice the bad and tend to ignore the good in this world. On a note, Jesus never mentioned homosexuality once. The old testament is not what Christians are supposed to live by, it's not for us - the New Testament is for us. Anyway, here is the screen shot.

Also note that they seem to be specifically referring to Christianity by the context of their post, and there are religions out there that the holly texts never even mention homosexuality. They also don't seem to mention religions that actively kill gay people in the fundamentalist countries - in fact a lot condemning Christians are defending a country right now that does kill gay people.
