Finally found a nice notepad and Calendar that works fine with Nova Launcher Prime. Being Nova was on sale for $0.99 I got it. The icon pack is 3K SQR Glass. Got the page transition effect set to "toss" and I think it's fun. The background I made myself in PaintShop Pro X8.

SHAW BLUECURVE GATEWAY REVIEW AND THEN SOME

  Speed tests are on the left. My shinny new A50 did the worst it seems. The PC was wired so it went blazing fast. The old S7 did darn good. I got to say the installation was a nightmare. They want you to set it all you yourself and there is no documentation. There is a shinny app you can waste memory with or enter the IP to get it set up - either will work. If you want the app, use it from the start, don't try and use it after use used the browser to set up the gateway. First off the lettering on the bottom of the modem is not friendly to my eyes. The other thing is, there is a vast amount of information on the bottom, so it was hard to pick out. Being the cable was too short to pick it up to eye level, I had to take a photo to see the password and so on. This was problematic as where I have it is low to the ground and I'm disabled and it hurt me a lot to squat down to do that. If I had thought of it - I'd have just written it all down when I took it out of the box

It's Freaking Cold

Screenshot is from The Weather Network App on my Android phone. You can see it's cold as heck out there today. This is the same as -31F the wind-chill is -44C and that's the same as -47F. I never stop being amazed at how people will go outside to smoke in weather like this. In fact at times there will be 3 or 4 of them at the smokers bench outside. I'm glad my addiction is food and I don't have to go outside to do my thing. The building is smoke free you see. This brings up an interesting fact, smudging is not allowed under the rules, and I'm wondering why someone has not freaked out about that. After all, it's a religious freedom that is protected. But oh well. Anyway the other phone is a shot of the smoking bench. P.S. the public safety warnings are Covid and the extreme cold.

Snarky (But Funny) Facebook Rant

It's bot week on Facebook. I won an appeal today and got this the very next notification. It's like they are looking to punish people to "keep them in line" or whatever the thinking is. It's not a strike BTW, just covered an image they thought would destroy the life of all who viewed it. Being this is 10 years old, only the craziest fucktard is going to go looking to that far back. You know, someone who is totally obsessed and can't seem to just walk away, and feels the need to dig into every post to see if they can find dirt, even if they had seen all your posts 56 times already. The kind of person who has no life at all and spends day after day scanning the same social media over and over because of a deep rooted and profound mental illness. The kind of batshit crazy person who thinks others are crazy and not them, even if the entire world says "dude, you're fucking crazy". So I don't know why the hell it was covered up, no one will see it.

SLOW INTERNET? NOT REALLY

I was told one time not to use the speed test from my ISP as it was not accurate. Well they told me to use fast.com instead. Well I just did a test on my phone and it was slower by far than usual. So I fired up the PC and tried a speed test with it. The PC being wired. Well it was a constant 200Mbps instead of the 600 I should be getting. I tried several times and 200 each try. I contacted the help line on Twitter and got an express chat link. Well I was on chat in seconds - so express meant it. I had reset the modem by power cycling it. I also reset it remotely with the My Shaw webpage. It did not help. The tech did tests and there where no errors showing up and it seemed as it should be working as normal. Tests showed 200 still, no matter what they did. Well I gave up and then today, two days later, I tried another speed test and it was between 610Mbps and 630Mbps each try. I tried 5 times. Then I looked at a couple other test sites and they gave me the same results. So I have to say

Resurrecting Poser 10 After the Death of Flash

Lets face it, replacing it with Poser 12 would be a fortune (about $300 Canadian). You paid a pile for this program when it came out. I got it in 2014 and it was over $100 then. I'm not willing to spend all my free spending money for the next 2 years to get 12. So here's the fix. Find the poser INI file in: C:/Users/USER NAME/AppData/Roaming/Poser/10 Double click the INI poser.ini file and it will open in word pad. Look near the bottom for LIBRARY_EMBEDDED_TYPE 0 Change the 0 to a 1 then save the ini file. This should eliminate the need for flash. It does not look the same, but it should work.
