Finally found a nice notepad and Calendar that works fine with Nova Launcher Prime. Being Nova was on sale for $0.99 I got it. The icon pack is 3K SQR Glass. Got the page transition effect set to "toss" and I think it's fun. The background I made myself in PaintShop Pro X8.
