Calling 911 in Saskatchewan

OK so you are in need of medical attention or your ex-husband is drunk and trying to get in to kill you. Well you obviously call 911. Well here is what will happen.

- They ask you what emergency service you need.
- They ask you why you need it.
- They ask your name.
- They ask where you are (because they have no clue where you are).
- They type it all into a computer for literally no reason...
- They then transfer you over to the service you need.

And guess what they do?
- They ask you why you need it.
- They ask your name.
- They ask where you are (because they have no clue where you are).
- They type it all into a computer.
- They send the people to where your at.

If you don't know where your at, I guess your about fucked then. See if they had clue one where the fuck I was, they would not have to ask me this.

I LOVE the part when I need an ambulance (I have health conditions you see) and they say, "make sure small children and pets are put away". Put away? OK honey, put the baby and the dog in the closet for a while.

Now the EMS folks and the cops have always been really good at handling what ever needs to be done. This is NOT the problem here. The thing is, why are they entering all this info into the computer if it is NOT being sent to the call centre for the service I need sent? Would this not save valuable time and thus perhaps every now and then prevent a death?

But what do I know? I am just some disabled guy with an internet connection and a blog.

Peace - Love and Long Life - Dave :)
