~118 TV Channels. ~15 Sports. ~10 Movie/specialty channels. ~62 Music channels (listen only). ~600 Mb/s down - 20 Mb/s up internet. ~App that allows you to control your network and the devices on it. ~App that allows you to download your DVR to the phone or tablet - also watch live TV on the go or movies on demand. ~You can also use the app to favourite content to watch later on the TV. $179 a month for 24 months on current promotion. $198.69 after taxes. For the amount of content I'm getting and the ability to stream on the go I find it worth it. That is in our market. The rest of the world outside the USA and Canada pay a lot less for internet and cable than we do - we also tend to pay a lot more for mobile service and data here. So it's all relevant. TV channels may actually very with location I'm told - so you may have more or less of them. I was paying $157.53 after taxes before and getting less TV and half the speed on internet. The upload speed is on
Looks like the police are asking for an increase in funding yet again. There is the promise of a stronger presence in Crescent Park and the surrounding Downtown aria. Crime in this aria is indeed up, but it's also up all over the city and in other parts of town violence is more common. But here is my take on it. The city relies heavily on tourists to come to the downtown aria to shop, stay at the spa and gamble, among other things. So this is to make the tourists feel safer and continue to spend money. In essence, they are going to protect profits in the guise of protecting people. Yes, the side effect is less crime in the aria, but what about other parts of town? Just my thoughts on it, I'm no expert, I just know how things look to me.

First snow of the year was a bad one. It stormed for many hours, from the early morning to late in the night. Being it was around the freezing point, the snow left ice all over the city before it accumulated. This left people with no power for hours on end, no internet or land-lines. It also left people stuck in the snow all over the city and the highway was even worse, with trucks and cars in the ditch all over. Many accidents where also reported. A friend was with no power for around 10 hours, this means his furnace was not on, leaving him and his cat in the cold. I only had the power blink a few times, and my internet went down, so I was lucky.
