1. What is the best and worst food you have tried?
Best was a lemon cheese cake at a place in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. The worst was Lion Meat in Vancouver, B.C. - But… A smoked meat sandwich in Montreal was a close second to the cheese cake.
2. What is something that no one believed about you?
I passed the entry exam for a very well known think tank.
3. What is a surprisingly deep moment you saw in a children's cartoon or movie?
When I saw Bambi as a child with my Dad. The moment the mother was shot by the hunter. At the time I cried my eyes out but did not grasp the significance of the scene until I saw it again as an adult.
4. What’s the lowest you’ve ever been in life?
Having to be hospitalized for depression. I was unable to function for the most part at the time.
5. Do you still think older movies are cool?
Yes and no. Some older movies just suck, but some are very cool. It’s just like new movies in that way.
6. What is the most legal trouble you’ve ever been in?
Well, I and several of my friends where questioned once after a person we all know and dislike strongly was the victim of crime. Turned out it was one of his many ex-boyfriends, and not one of my friends or I.
7. What is your favorite Jaws memory?
To be honest, I rewatched the movie for it’s 50th anniversary and hated it. But when he says, “We are going to need a bigger boat,” I got a laugh out of it - probably not the intended audience response, but it sparked me funny for no valid reason. This being said, most people really enjoy Jaws.
8. Who is the least influential person in the fashion industry?
My friend Carra. She sold 5 dresses in a year. I think she is good at design, but what the heck do I know about fashion?
9. Did you see "Jaws" when it was first released?
Yes, and I enjoyed it a lot. Then I saw it on the 50th anniversary and hated it. But most people seem to enjoy it still. I was 8 when it first came out BTW.
10. What famous person have you met in your lifetime?
Leonard Cohen. I met him at a gallery opening in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. To be honest, he was treating all the women very badly and thought he was the only intelligent person in the room. He was a complete jerk.
11. Who is the most dangerous criminal you've met in person?
A guy I went to school with many years ago. He was extremely disturbed. He ended up as a dangerous offender and will never get out of prison. I did not know him at the time, as he had moved very far away, but he dismembered a street worker. He had a long history with violent offences going back to his childhood.
12. Did you ever shower with other guys?
Not for years now, but very many times I had. It’s hard to be in a gym class in school in the 1970’s and not end up in the shower with other guys. As well, going to the YMCA as a kid and young adult, the showers where open, and there where often other guys in them at the time.
