In the Night Garden (2007-2009) A Slanted Reaction From an Adult

I am only aware this show exists because a friend mentioned that he thought it was creeps AF. Well there it was on BBC (I had cable TV at the time). So I watched it.

To be honest this show is made for toddlers and maybe slightly older kids - it's not meant to be entertainment for adults. But I was immediately out off by it.

I admit I had a preconceived notion that it was creepy. The more I watched of it, the more disturbed I felt. I can't really put my finger on it, but it seriously put me off.

I can't possibly think like a child, so I don't know what they found fun about this show. I have to say, re-watching kids shows from the 1970's does the same thing to me and I loved them back then.

To sum it up, I'll probably never be able to put a label on why I find these shows creepy as hell - but I do. For a kid, this is probably an 8/10 - for me it's a 3/10.

The Fifth Estate (1976 - Still Going) Documentary, News This was a show that I remember my Mom and Dad watching once a week. Later in life I watched it as well. I no longer watch it as I’m no longer interested in news. At the time in the 70’s I did not really get what it was all about, I just wanted to be with my parents while they watched it. Top 20 Deli Meats (Cold Cuts) Rated

I found a list of the top 20 cold cuts in the world. That head cheese got into this list makes me wonder what so called normal people think is good food. This is of course keyed to my tastes only and may not be how you see it. For example, Dad loved Bologna above all other cold cuts, and would fry it black and make sandwiches with tomato and Kraft sandwich spread. Sometimes the bread of toasted. On a side note, literally ONLY white bread of served to us at home as young folks and so on. The idea of eating brown bread was out of the question. BTW Mom's favorite cold cut was Olive Loaf. My perfect 10 no longer exists and it was called Onion Loaf.
