Coffee or Not Coffee That Is The Question
I got this on sale for a bit less than $7 a bag (250g). It's very good and I like it a lot. The thing is, it's now almost $10 a bag. The other blends of Lavazza coffee are almost $8 a bag. Now I tend to use 5 bags a month on average for just 1 cup of coffee a day with my large Moka Pot. This has become a very large expense to say the least.
Sure I can get a close to 1KG can of coffee for $16 at my local store, but it it worth the price at all? I don't think it is. If I have coffee at home, I want to be able to enjoy the hell out of it, not just use it to wake up. The entire point of coffee to me is the ritual of making it, and the great pleasure I get in consuming a very good cup of coffee.
So when it's going to set me back close to $43 a bloody month to have coffee at home, I think I'll skip it to say the least. Six months ago that was about $28 a month. So in half a year, the price has gone through the bloody roof and it's become the luxury of the wealthy to afford good tasting coffee at home.
I can get 100 bags of Ahmad Earl Grey Tea for about $7. You need to buy 2 boxes from the vender to get it shipped. Still this is about 6 months of morning tea for me for $14. That is a lot better for the pocket book. In the same 6 months the Lavazza coffee would be $258. So I'd rather have to be damaged or completely obsessed to keep drinking the coffee rather than the tea. Even the disgusting store brand coffee is $16 a month. The tea is a much better idea, and I enjoy the Earl Grey a lot. It's NOT the same, but it's about the same amount of pleasure in the mornings.
So I guess I'm a tea man now. I'd drink tea at our coffee outings, but they give you this tea pot of boiling hot water, and my hands are not steady and that makes me uneasy. So I get coffee out there. It's horrible coffee to say the least, but I can manage to drink it. I have to think, the place we go gets coffee for a hell of a lot less per cup than I can. But in all, I guess it's tea time.
P.S. if you have the money for Lavazza coffee, it's bloody delicious.
Well , everything we like will be so expensive, we won't be able to buy it! Enjoy your tea😊💕
