Heavy Metal is an animated movie from 1981 that was based on the graphic novels of the same name (Heavy Metal Magazine). It is a set of short stories set to a common theme. The narrator is the bad guy in this one, so that alone makes it different for it's time. In the end the movie arcs back to the start and the ending is tied to the beginning showing an endless loop of combating the evil force.

Besides the great animation and mixed styles in this movie, there is a hell of a sound track of music from it's time frame. In fact it was one of the most popular soundtracks in it's day.

This is not a kids cartoon and has graphic violence, nudity and sexual content. Be warned, this is not a biblical story line to say the least.
