I Thank God For The Great Days
I forget that when I’m thankful for all the great stuff I have in my life, then I tend to be happy. I am one of the majority of people in the free world that fall for a fallacy where people think that if you have something you will be happy. It’s always something stupid that I don’t need at all. Normally it’s something like pizza or a load of wings – a totally fleeting thing that would be a moment of joy when I’m consuming it, but then it’s gone, and I feel the need again for the next thing. I’m getting better with this. I try hard to remember life is about the interactions we have with friends and loved ones. It’s about being in the moment and just experiencing life while listening to music in the dark and only being alive – no expectations or desire. These are the good moments in life. Like the good moments, the good, or in today’s case, great days, come when I’m grateful for the things I have and always will have. All we need is love is rather true – when we know we are loved there ...
