Why Do I Even Want This Thing?

GOD I am so part of western culture. I want something because I can have it. I also realize I will never in my life make use of it and it will sit in a storage container for the rest of my life and I will not even look at it... But I want it... We are literally programmed all out lives with advertising that things will make us happy. Well now and then like my Pusheens they do - but almost always they don't for long and we lack the desire to get rid of the junk. So what happens? We buy new shit and put the old shit in storage. Ever wonder why there are so many storage places? Think about it... Anyways I'm off to pretend Pusheen is flying around the apartment... Sigh... Actually I'm going to look for random things on Amazon...

  Rampage Coffee Co. is located in Saskatoon Saskatchewan and is a small batch coffee roasting company that makes 3 different and very unique blends. The company is still small and the owners still work in other jobs. They are also very community minded and donate part of the profits to upstart artists, musicians and the like. Today I fired up a fresh ground pot of "Riot Coffee". I had to say it was a very enjoyable experience. There was a very fresh taste to the coffee, a lot more fresh that I have ever had the pleasure to experience in the past. Also had hints of caramel and chocolate in the background. The acidity was low compared to a lot of coffee I have had and it was only slightly bitter. It was a smooth cup of coffee and the aroma was wonderful and full bodied. This is how I would like coffee to be. You can't expect to get any more fresh than this. It is made per order on a Monday, packaged on a Tuesday then mailed out on a Wednesday. Depend...

Top 20 Deli Meats (Cold Cuts) Rated

I found a list of the top 20 cold cuts in the world. That head cheese got into this list makes me wonder what so called normal people think is good food. This is of course keyed to my tastes only and may not be how you see it. For example, Dad loved Bologna above all other cold cuts, and would fry it black and make sandwiches with tomato and Kraft sandwich spread. Sometimes the bread of toasted. On a side note, literally ONLY white bread of served to us at home as young folks and so on. The idea of eating brown bread was out of the question. BTW Mom's favorite cold cut was Olive Loaf. My perfect 10 no longer exists and it was called Onion Loaf. No Name Dark Roast Coffee a Review

No Name Dark Roast Coffee is not the worst coffee I ever had, but It's not all that great. I was looking for coffee that would be acceptable and way less money than the Lavazza that I normally got. I use a lot of coffee in the Moka Pot, for just one mug of coffee (24oz). So I got this instead with my grocery order. The taste is slightly burnt, slightly woody, and a faint hint of nuts. There is a bitter aftertaste that lasts a hell of a long time after you drink this stuff. It also leaves your mouth feeling oily. For the price of it however, it's acceptable ($15.99 for 925g) a months supply of Lavazza was close to $40 - so it's a big saving. You do give up quality and taste for a saving. It's like most truck stop coffee. Nothing special, just something to give you a kick start. Well it did have a kick to it, I'll give it that. But the taste is not great. Remembering My Loving Parents

I've decided to post the obituaries of Morris Nicholson and Violet Nicholson (my loving parents). I've been thinking about them a lot this last while and I edited their obituaries in MS Word then exported as a JPG and added a nice border to them. They where always there for me and made sure I knew I was loved. They adopted me, but not once have I ever thought about my birth parents - instead they where, to me, the only parents I ever had. My brother is also dead, but no obituary for him exists and I will have to later on make one up for him. I do not have a more recent photo of him, but I do have some about 15 years before he died.
